Just to prove it, here’s (one of) the twin Petronas Towers, iconic centre of Kuala Lumpur. We waited for the photo – when we arrived the Towers were shrouded by the ‘Haze’, the pollution blamed on Indonesian plantation owners burning down forest to plant palms for oil… Today, though, we had a terrific tropical downpour. The TV stopped working for a while, showing only “it is currently raining, service is disrupted”, but in recompense the Haze cleared and the Towers appeared…
