A Multicultural Breakfast

I loved these signs on the breakfast tables in our KL city centre hotel – no chance of your coffee cup being cleared when you go for that final, unnecessary, sinful-but-yummy croissant…

The breakfast buffet was, well, extensive. Fred was enjoying his scrambled egg and beef bacon (Muslim country, remember), and I was starting my porridge (my homage to the tropics being the dried mango on the top), when I noticed what the young (Australian? American?) guy on the next table was about to embark on. All on one plate: sushi, steamed dumpling, fried egg, chicken sausage, scotch pancake with peanut butter, French toast, fried rice, what looked like some curry, hash browns… And did I detect a bit of green salad on the side? Wow. Or yuck. I can’t quite decide…

  1. That sounds truly disgusting Ann. You should have asked to take a picture. You could have pretended that it looked so yummy that the next day you would like to have the same!!!!!!!
Someone posted on FB the other day that Sid’s Pub in K.L won the Best Pub Grub award. I think they said it was the Time Out Awards.

All quiet here after a hectic and tiring ten days in London. Faye is coming up with the children in a couple of weeks for a few days. I don’t envy her three a a half hours on the train with two of them but she has to give it a try. We did do many journeys up and down the motorways when our two were tiny, usually looking for houses in a different county, and have to say they were brilliant but then our girls were perfect of course Ha! Ha! Love to you both J & L xx
