…at the wonderful Kuala Lumpur bird park (has the distinction of being the world’s largest free-flight walk-in aviary, no less)…

Mother (speaking to her little boy): “No, no, nobody painted it”.

Easy mistake to make, though, seeing this splendid scarlet ibis, don’t you think?  Oh, and I fed a hornbill! The one on the right, who took the sliver of meat so delicately from my fingers (a relief, I must admit, thinking what those imposing beaks are probably capable of). What stunning creatures, no wonder they are Malaysia’s national bird.

 

And what’s more, we were stalked… (sorry!)
